Highlights

• The Open Water Diver certification is an entry level “licence to dive”. It teaches you to independently plan and conduct dives with another certified diver, to a maximum depth of 60 ft/18 mt (40 ft/12 mt for age 10 -11).

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

• Knowledge Development (independently study, or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
• Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
• Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

Typical Class Schedule

• Day one – Introduction, review and Confined Water dive.
• Day two – Open water dives
• Day three – Open water dives
• Day four – Review and exam
  (Days can be spread out as needed weekends, etc.)

Quick Details

• Must be at least 10 years old (Note: 10-14 years old divers earn a Junior Open Water Diver certification)
• Course length is four days, but it can be completed in as few as three
• Each class is around 4-5 hours in duration
• Price includes: Lessons, transportation, equipment, training dives and International PADI Diving Certification.

Important Information:

• Non-certified divers must complete a medical statement confirming good health for diving. You must be able to answer “NO” to each of the questions on the form. A “yes” answer will require and medical release from your doctor.

• If weather condition are not suitable to dive in Varadero, the Diving will take place at the Bay Of Pigs 2 hours drive from Varadero (Caribbean Sea)
• Lunch is NOT INCLUDED (applicable for the Bay of Pigs dives only, lunch stop in an Authentic Private Cuban restaurant - price $10 - $15/person)
