Already Open Water certified and ready for the next challenge? The SSI Advanced Adventurer Course is your perfect next step. Think of it as your dive adventure sampler — five specialty dives, two of them required, and three of your choice.
This course expands your confidence, boosts your underwater navigation and buoyancy, and gives you a taste of the many paths scuba can lead you down — from night diving to deep exploration and beyond.

Prices
- Advanced Adventurer Course: $290 USD per person
- Non-diver companion (ride-along): $35 USD/day
What's Included
- 5 Adventure dives over 2–3 days
- 2 required dives: Deep Diving + Navigation
- 3 elective dives (your choice — see below)

What to Expect
The Advanced Adventurer course is structured around five adventure dives:
Required:
- Deep Diving
- Underwater Navigation
Elective (choose 3):
- Night & Limited Visibility Diving
- Perfect Buoyancy
- Search & Recovery
- Underwater Naturalist
- Fish Identification
- Wreck Diving (non-penetration)
These dives count as credit toward the full SSI specialty course if you choose to continue your training later.
Day 1:
- Course intro, digital learning review, and 1–2 dives
Day 2:
- Adventure dives 2 & 3
Day 3 (if needed):
- Final dives and wrap-up
If weather conditions in Varadero are poor, we may dive at the Caribbean side — the Bay of Pigs — with lunch available at a private restaurant ($10–15 USD, not included).
Requirements
- Minimum age: 12 years
- Must hold Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
- Good health and swimming ability
- Completion of the SSI Diver Medical Questionnaire
- Course duration: 2–3 days (approx. 4–5 hours/day)
Note: Students aged 12–14 will earn the Junior Advanced Adventurer certification with depth and supervision limits.

- No exam! Just immersive skill-building dives
- Max dive depth increases to 30 meters (100 feet)
- MySSI app tracks progress and certification
- Learn digitally, dive practically, and explore specialties
- Balance due in USD cash or CAD/EURO equivalent (based on daily rate)

- Please avoid alcohol or heavy meals before diving
